"The browser has hanged, it isn't responding!"
This is a common reaction to Internet browsers that either
stop responding due to excess load or some technical error. We're in the
modern, highly advanced age where there shouldn't be any margin for errors and
a smooth experience must be delivered to the common internet user. With the
number of internet users crossing the 2.4 billion mark, the need for a perfect
browser is a really vital.
So, since you have already heard of, and maybe are using
one or two of the top browsers available today, I won't go through a long
introduction introducing each browser to you.
Rather, I will take six standard areas where I will tell
you which browser comes out on top and WHY. Of course there are more than six
areas where we can compare these browsers, but these are the ones that matter
most and make the ultimate difference in one's browsing experience. So, here we
go!
Performance
Since benchmark tests are far from real world performances,
other major tests were done using HTML5 and CSS3 suites and the result was the
Google Chrome came out on top followed closely by Mozilla Firefox and IE.
Web and hardware acceleration could not be left out, so
results displayed a tie between Chrome and Firefox, followed by Opera.
Memory Usage
This factor really depends on how many tabs have been
opened in the browser. For a single tab, and multiple tabs, results vary. Since
we want the better browser that can multitask well, we'll focus on the
multi-tab winner. Firefox tops the list, using just half the memory that Chrome
uses, with a little less efficiency.
Page load speed
When it comes to loading multiple pages, or rather
"tabs", Opera takes the lead followed by Firefox. It's surprising how
Chrome, that is the fastest for single page load, is placed 4th for multi-tab
loading. It works differently, built with a different architecture. Opera 15 is
to be considered as version 12 is comparatively slower and doesn't perform as
well.
Start-up
Factor that the common user would really consider when
choose List of
Top 10 Free Internet Browser. Who waits for seconds just for their
browser to open up? In this category, IE10 is on top followed by Firefox. This
result is for single tabs. When considering multi tabs, Firefox beats all
others with ease; this puts it on top in this category.
